The CEOs of GM and Ford took $20,000 flights to Washington, DC to beg for our tax money because they’re gonna be bankrupt before spring. They’re burning money so that Henry Ford can open a jalopy business in hell and the people of Michigan will pay for it. This will all be blamed on the Unions. They’ll say that we’re in a world economy (which raises all boats, so this company doesn’t need to be bailed out) and that the price of labor is too high for them to compete. They’ll say that pensions are killing them. While they’re begging for our money they’ll brag about how many people they’ve fired to “cut costs”.

Meanwhile, the rest of metro Detroit is going to start to look like the Detroit proper that most people ran away from decades ago.

Early in his campaign, Obama said that he would break up the media monopolies. Now they’re on the meme offensive.
